Thousands of Filipino Nurses, Physical Therapist Needed in United States; Earn 1,000 Pesos per Hour

Nurses, physical therapists and occupational therapists are now needed in the United States. Representatives of different hospitals in the U.S. have already visited the country to personally interview the applicants in the Philippines.

Qualified applicants will be able to earn as much as $25 per hour that is equivalent to 1,000 pesos. This will provide a steady income of approximately 3 million pesos or $60,000 a year for every hired nurse and therapist in the U.S. Moreover, they will also have the opportunity to bring their family with them in the future.

To qualify for the position, a nurse or a therapist must have at least 2 to 3 years of experience in a major hospital in the country. Applicants must also pass several examination in the U.S. and the immigration. However, this application process can take as much as 2 years.

There will be no fees collected to apply for the position and anyone is encouraged to apply as long as they meet all the requirements needed by the U.S. hospitals.

One reason why years of experience is needed from the applicants is because it is crucial that the applicants are familiar with using modern medical equipments.

For applicants interested to apply for the job, EDI President Cesar Averia says applicants must make sure they are applying to a legitimate manpower agency. No fees must be collected to apply and the agency or recruiter must have legal documents proving they have job order from POEA. The best way to verify this is to check with Philippine Overseas Employment Agency if the agency is registered and have the job order.
