1000 Nurses Needed in Saudi Arabia

Saudi Arabia is currently in need of 1,000 Filipino nurses. The requirements are easier compared to other countries and accepted applicants will receive numerous privileges and benefits.

According to ABS CBN news, the new job order from Saudi Arabia is a government-to-government track so it is likely that successful applicants will be hired by Saudi Arabia's government hospital. Government-to-government track means the job order is directly from one government to another. The estimated salary for this job is 4100 SAR or approximately 58,000 Pesos.

The only requirements to qualify for the job is the applicant to have a degree in Bachelor of Science in Nursing and 2 years of related experience. POEA administrator Bernard Olalia said this requirement was actually lowered from 3 years.

Among the many benefits, a hired worker will receive includes free board and lodging, annual vacation leave and even the worker's round-trip plane tickets. This means that the Filipino worker will be able to visit their loved ones in the Philippines every year.

Compared to other job orders, Filipino nurses interested in the job can only apply directly to POEA and not through any recruitment agency. In addition, applicants don't need to visit their office yet as applications can be sent online via eservices.poea.gov.ph/home.

Olaila also mentioned they will be able to regularly monitor the condition of the Filipino nurses in this job order. This is because of the direct communication between the representative of POEA and of the Saudi government.

POEA also warns interested applicants to check if a recruitment agency is registered in the agency before applying to any overseas job. For this job order, however, nurse applicants can only apply directly to POEA. The screening process will also be done by the agency.

For any questions or concerns, interested applicants may directly contact Philippine Overseas Employment Administration via their website or contact number.
