The other candidates in the top 5 position with De Vera and Ouriques is New Zealand's Acacia Walker as first runner-up, Honduras' Valeria Cardona as second runner-up and Netherland's Morgan Doelwijt as third runner-up. In the top 10, they were joined by South Africa, Japan, Costa Rica, Nicaragua, and Mongolia. Special awards were also given to Miss Australia as Miss Congeniality, Miss Honduras as Miss #MovenpickBoracay and Best in Evening Gown to Miss Honduras, Philippines and Vietnam.
In the final question, Miss Brazil was asked if the advocacy of the pageant is still relevant in today's time. She said "I believe that we are all equal before God and all of us should be able to spread love, and spread good things among everybody," through a translator.
Miss Asia Pacific International was formerly known as Miss Asia Quest. The pageant aims to promote the tourism in the Philippines since the 1960s. This year, the show was hosted by Rovilson Fernandez, Sam YG, and Marc Nelson.
In the history of Miss Asia Pacific International, the title has already been won 4 times including a 2 consecutive win in 1982 to 1983. The titles were won by Ma Del Carmen Ines Zaragoza, Gloria Dimayacyac, Lorna Legaspi and Michelle Aldana in 1993.
