OFW Son who Never Met His Father; Graduated as Valedictorian in PNPA Class of 2018

Class Valedictorian Police Cadet Fritz John Napalinga Vallador from the city of Kabankalan in Negros Occidental is expected to receive an award from President Rodrigo Duterte, the Presidential Kampilan Award.

His mother is an overseas Filipino worker or OFW in Spain as a domestic helper while he never met his father since firth. Fortunately, he has someone that he looked up to as a father. He said although he never met his real father, he worked hard to succeed in life.

He is, however, saddened that his mother, Ana Marie will not be able to come back to the Philippines and witness his graduation day. But his aunt wil be there to represent his mother. "'Yung tita ko po (Nelia Deocares), 'yung nagtayong nanay sa akin simula Grade 5 hanggang ngayon, ay siya po muna ang maghahalili muna at magiging proxy ng mama ko,”he said.

When Nelia was asked by GMA News Online to describe Fritz, she said he has always been loving and respectful to his family. He is a responsible child and never gave up on his studies ever since. He is always ready to sacrifice.

A total of 106 cadets will be appointed by the President to their respective service bureaus. Out of the 106 cadets, 76 of them will join the Philippine National Police.
