Pasig River Ferry from Manila to Cavite Starts Sailing this June

Starting June of 2018, new Pasig River Ferries will finally start serving commuters from Manila terminal to Cavite every day. This will not only cut down transportation time by approximately 50% but also help lessen the traffic in the city.

The new Pasig River ferries will be able to cater up to 100 passengers at a time and will feature free wifi, comfort rooms, security cameras and will be airconditioned for the utmost comfort of its passengers. It is also optimized for PWD passengers so it can serve all types of commuters.

The usual transportation time from Manila to Cavite through the bus is 1 to 2 hours. And with the new Pasig River Ferry, this will be shortened by as much as 45 minutes. The service will cost commuters 100 pesos for a one-way journey. The stations are expected to start in Intramuros, Manila to Lito Beach, Cavite and vice versa.

According to some passengers, they have already noticed the river cleaner than what it was before so the unpleasant smell has lessened significantly. Hopefully, it will all be cleaned and ready for the opening in June.

The mayor of the city, Dino Reyes-Chua, has already signed the agreement that formally starts the construction of ferries and stations last January 20. ABS CBN News reported this new commuter service will also help boost the tourism not only in the city but in the country.

One of the biggest problems of the country is the traffic so this new service can be a start of a solution in the Philippines.
